Better life is a wishes everyone. What must we do to change our self to be better??
Think about your life as a construction project. How is it looking? Does your structure show all the love and care that you wish to see, or does it have flaws that destroy the beauty. Those imperfections can cause a sense of fear that your project will not stand up to winds of change. Does fear raises its ugly head and chip away at your building? The Word says in 2 Timothy 1:7, “God has not given me a spirit of fear, but one of power, love and a sound mind.” God’s ways are always perfect. How would this story influence your construction project?
An argument broke out in heaven between to angels about what would be a perfect world. God proposed a contest & the worlds would be judged by God and all the souls of heaven. The winner of the contest would receive their perfect world for all of the inhabitants of earth. The enthusiastic angels started working on their plan. Bartholomew, the first angel, decided that he wanted a world with only one rule. His world looked like an ashtray and was desolate. Walking outside was met with chaos, noise and smoke so thick you choked with every breath of air. The one rule was, ‘Whatever you want to do, do it-no consequences’. Immorality was an expected life. In this world of destruction, there might have been a small cry asking for help, but, instead of redemption, there was only death. Bartholomew truly felt that this was the type of world that the heavens would cheer about, because there was only one rule. This comes from a deranged mind…
Michael, the second angel, had a very different idea. His world was full of color and life. The majesty was like inhaling bits of heaven and it made the inhabitants rejoice. The atmosphere was of hope, joy, love, peace and fellowship with others. The wonders of Michael’s world caused the population to live long and prosperous lives. There was no room for hatred or the chaos that was in Bartholomew’s world, because there was love for each other. Mike remembered God’s words of, ” Relax, everything’s going to be all right; rest, everything’s coming together; open your hearts, love is on the way!”
The assignment was finished, and both angels proudly showed God their work. When Bartholomew presented his dark world, he was standing there, arrogant, and full of pride, knowing his was the best. Michael on the other hand, with true reverence, presented his glorious world. Michael’s world full of color, love, peace, and joy won the contest and God did as he promised, but what happened to Bart…..
Whose world are you attracted to? It is tough to build a strong you sometimes because the negative self-talk. Don’t deny it! Many use it as an excuse to not live up to their potential. Negative self-talk can be devastating to any structure you are trying to build. You start worrying so much about everything and everybody around you that you forget to work on what is going on in your own life. The only person that can be changed is YOU. Are you taking the time in study, spend time with God, and moving in His direction? Or do you have the mind set of Bartholomew where you only have to live by one rule. What an awful way to think and how depressing. You need the confidence, knowing that if you ask God, you are taking the first step to a stronger and more stable YOU and you will find yourself on the other side of your mountains (obstacles). Visualize your life is the completion of your construction project. God will help you build that life you want…embrace it.
